Meet your Walker
Hi there! I’m Gemma Wharton, the proud owner of Wharton’s Walkies. I am passionate about animals and the outdoors. I love this job, meeting some amazing dogs/ animals. Growing up we had all different types of animals around the house, we would take in rescue kittens, guinea pigs that needed a home. I spent most of my childhood down by the farm where are Horse called Daisy was kept at the stables and helping out with the cleaning/ looking after other horses. I have always had an interested with looking after animals and caring for them which is how its lead me to my dog walking company. Currently, me and my partner own a beautiful black short-haired cat called Moomin who we rescued from the cat protection program as we are renting at the moment.
I have experience walking different breeds, sizes of dogs whether it’s puppies or old age dogs on and or off lead. I own a van that is crated so I can transport your dogs anywhere for their walks where your dog will get the utmost undivided attention, I can also provide group walks for your dogs if you want them to play and interact with others. I also have experience with walking reactive and nervous dogs, training them to be able more sociable.
I know all the great spots where your dog can run freely and have some fun whilst out on their walk. After every walk the dogs will get a hose down (if needed) and will give them a wipe-down if they’re mucky pups after their walks. I will send updated/ photos through social media or direct so your always in the loop and get to see them in action having the best time on their walks or at home.
